I think I am just surprised its the same old crap when I moved somewhere with 10x the population and a generally more open culture. I would say I have decent profiles, I talk about my interests, have pretty good photos, and I would think I am at least a solid 7. Tinder/Bumble are so blatantly masking your account behind a paywall now its kind of hysterical (Indicated by the fact after 2 days all matches fall off).Īdmittedly Hinge seems objectively the best (when it does not throw your algorithm into ugly hell) and I’ve had some decent conversations but they don’t really go anywhere. I (29M) decided to dip my toes back in the water, and made the holy trinity (Tinder, Bumble, and Hinge), and it just blows my mind how awful these apps are even with a 2 million+ person population.
